Tokarev
TT-33
7.62x25mm
The
TT-33 was the first semi-automatic pistol adopted by the Soviet
Union, to replace the M1895 Revolver in 1933. It is based on
the design of the Browning 1911, simplified for production, and
was designed by the famous Russian arms developer, Fedor Tokarev.
Russian production ceased with the adoption of the Makarov pistol
in 1952 (although it continued to be used well into the '70s
by the Soviets, and
longer by other nations). Later models added a safety, and some
nations
(notably
China), produced it for export in 9mm.
It is single
action, and is fed from a 8 round magazine. This pistol was manufactured
in 1945 in Russia.
