1.
I have packaged and released the "lost" Black Thorn
mission, Airport Terminal. This mission was redone in the
US release by Ubisoft
in response to the events of Sept. 11th. The files are hosted
at Pie's
Tactics right now, until I get the site updated here.
There are two seperate versions of the installer, one for
Urban Operations users and one for stand-alone Black Thorn
players. Get the UO version HERE,
and the BT version HERE.
Thanks to Brent from Ubisoft for allowing the US community
to view this mission as it was originally intended.
2.
RLTC
is in final beta, I'm sure you will be impressed by the size
and scope of this sci-fi total conversion. Stay tuned for
the latest news.

1. I am a civilian again,
for now. I will be leaving again in January, but for now I'm
free, and I've been putting my time to good use.
2. RLTC
is close to completion, and the news sites are hyped! Read
Pie's preview HERE,
as well as an interview I did with Elited.net
HERE!
3. Now that I've pretty much
finished up the contributions I am making to RLTC
& TOTT3,
I am going to be sitting down and finishing up the map I started
a while ago. Look for more news on it soon.

1.
I am still on active duty, I finally got a day off and access
to a computer. I am still in the US, providing security for
certain critical locations. I should be done with this stint
on Dec. 1st, but then I have to go out again from Jan 6th-Mar
20th. For now, I have had to drop out of college.
Needless to say,
I probably wont get much of anything released in the next
few months. I am buying a laptop, so maybe I can be semi productive
during my limited time off (days like today, first since the
30th). Maybe I'll even get to play BT or GR.
Anyways, thanks
for all the emails and posts of support. I will post more
news when I get it.
2. I want to give
a happy belated birthday to the United States Marine Corps,
who turned 226 on November 10th. Semper Fi!
October 31, 2001
1. I have been called to Active
Duty with the National Guard, so any projects I am working on
will be delayed. If you sent me an email, I will not be
able to respond for a while. I don't know how long I
will be gone or what my mission is, but I will post an update
as soon as possible.
October 20, 2001
1. Work continues on the site redisign.
I am grateful to the guys from the Forums that are working
on the site. If you think you have what it takes to work on
the new Rooster's Nest, shoot an email to ntdmods@hotmail.com.
2. The Rogue
Spear: Black Thorn Demo is out! Get it from one of the
following mirrors:
Ubi
Soft's US FTP Server
FilePlanet
File
Retreat
3D Gamers
RogueSpearMD
Thanks to Pie's
Tactics for providing these link to the Demo Mirrors.
3. I have released
a small utility to unlock all of the new weapons in the Black
Thorn Demo. Just download and run this
tiny program, and you will have 13 never before seen official
weapons to rock and roll with in the BT Demo! Get it NOW!
4. On a similar
note, I wrote a small article for you UO players, on how to
install the Black Thorn Demo as a UO mod. Read the article
HERE!

1. I'm back. After a
month long vacation in Europe, which included England, France,
and Greece. I have now settled down in Phoenix and start
college on October 1st, at the Art
Institute of Phoenix, where I will be majoring in Computer
Game Art & Design. If you sent me any emails that I
didn't respond to, please re-send them. I think some got
lost in the 300+ that I had to sort through when I
returned. Stay tuned for some good ol' Rooster
modding.
2. Gravedigga
has recruited me to do the mission scripting for his upcoming
TC Mod, Renegade
Legion. I am happy to be a part of what looks to be
the most comprehensive TC mod for RS/UO yet.
3. Over the next few weeks you
will be seeing some changes at The Nest. The current
site design has outgrown my projects, and needs a
revamping. So stand by for some messy construction.
4. Q, Master Weapon Guru of ARMM,
has undergone some minor surgery in the last few days.
It would be great if all of you NATO fans shoot an email of
support to him HERE.
5. If you haven't heard, Rogue
Spear: Black Thorn, another stand alone expansion to Rogue
Spear, has been delayed due to the recent tragedy. I
am planning to make some new mods compatible with BT, and ARMM
is tentivaly planning to make an updated NATO 3 version
for BT. Stay tuned for the latest news.
July 26, 2001
1. You may have wondered why I haven't
released anything lately, it is because I am preparing to move
to Phoenix, AZ, where I will be attending college. Look
for more projects from me in the fall.
2. I will be out of the US during
all of August, vacationing in Europe. My email access
will be sporadic, but I will get to as much as I can.
Don't be surprised if it takes a while for me to get back to
you.
3. I have written a small article
on the proper steps it takes to complete a quality mod.
I recommend all prospective modders read it here.

1. Forbidden City for UO is
done! Get it here!
John Sonedecker created this great map, and I ported the
missions and related files for Urban Operations. I would like to give a huge thanks to John for
giving me the opportunity to work with him on this
conversion. Also thanks to the staff at Pie's
Tactics, CR6 from RSRetreat,
and Arctic Paladin for helping me with beta testing and
various other things.
2. Here are a few screenshots from
my next project, as yet unnamed. Click on the image to
see a larger version.

1. John Sonedecker's Forbidden
City is coming along nicely. I am in final beta, and am
just doing some minor tweaks and fixes. I will release
the UO version first, and an RS version will follow
later. Included will be a port of the original single
player mission, along with Terrorist Hunt and Lone Wolf
missions. I also re-did the skins to more of a
"Bruce Lee" style. Here are some new
screenshots (others can be found at Pie's
Tactics):
2. I have written up a preview of
Black Thorn for Pie's
Tactics. Check it out here.
I would like to thank Patrick Naud of Ubisoft
for the great info!
3. Aggression
had an amusing little contest little contest regarding my
picture from E-3. Someone won a COE mouse pad for
figuring out who we were.
4. Some people have had problems
recently with Mission
Pack: Deadly Protocol. I have tracked the cause down
to my server move. When I transferred my files from my
old site, I accidentally replaced MP:DP with an older version.
If you recently downloaded MP:DP and it is crashing on you,
you should re-download
it. Sorry about that. Thanks to Dave for
letting me know about the problem.

1. I just got back from E3!
What a blast. I got to spend time with some of the great
Red Storm guys (thanks
for the shirt!), hang out with Pie4foo, Maestro, and the Wargamer
crew, and all in all have a blast. Keep an eye out at Pie's
Tactics for the full scoop. Here
is an amusing pic from E3,
showing Pie, Duke Nukem, me, and Maestro.
2. The next map from John
Sonedecker with be Forbidden City, and should be out
soon. I am doing the MP and Single player mission
scripting, as well as porting the storyline and making up some
new skins for single player. When it is complete, I will
package it up in an installer and let it loose. Other R6
maps & missions are in the works, so stay tuned for more
news.
3. Team
AUM recently posted an interview with me, you can read it here.
Thanks goes out to Flatliner for the opportunity.
4. I have gotten some reports that
some of the mods
are not downloading completely. If you try to download a
mod from my site and it doesn't go right, please take the time
to let me know.
5. There seems to be some compatibility
issues between Mission
Pack: Deadly Protocol, and R6:
Covert Operations Essentials when they are both installed
into Urban Operations at the same time. I am
looking into this, and the possibility of a fix.
April 25, 2001
1. Well, The Nest is finally up in
it's new home at RSR.
Thanks to Snicker at Rogue
Spear Retreat for the space, and the patience while I got
it set up. As you may already know, my old host, Action
Xtreme, was bought out by Gamespy,
and was rather suddenly shut down. Real life has
intruded into my mod/site time, as I prepare for college this
fall, and it took me a while to get everything back up.
If you notice any errors or broken links, please let
me know.
2. In mod news, work is
progressing on my map, albeit slowly. I'll try to get
some screenshots up soon. Oh, and if you didn't hear, ARMM
released NATO 3.5, so if you haven't checked it out yet, head
over to our new
site!
3. I am going to be attending E3
with Pie & Maestro,
hopefully I'll bring back some fun pictures and news.
Thanks to the Anchorage
Press for the support!
4. I have consolidated interviews
& reviews of my mods on the Awards
page, if you know of any that I missed, please drop
me a line and I will get them added.
February 28, 2001
1. Looks like the Crosswinds
account is back up, so I should be receiving my regular emails
now. However, if I don't respond to you within THREE
days, resend it, as I answer ALL of my email.
2. NATO
3.5 is near, my friends! We are just wrapping up
some loose ends and completing the installation documentation.
3. I just started my active duty
with the Air Guard again, so I will be busy over the next few
weeks with that. I am working security for the World
Special Olympics, so I plan to wait on starting serious
work on my first map until around mid-March. Sorry, but
it's for a good cause.
4. On a completely unrelated note,
I just updated my team Airsoft page, check
it out and see me in bliss with my MP5.
5. Remember, if you have any
problems or questions regarding my mods or modding in general,
feel free to hit the forums!
February 22, 2001
1. My Crosswinds account is
completely down. If you need to get in touch with me,
please use serellan@yahoo.com.
Sorry for the inconvenience.
February 20, 2001
1. I've done some much-needed
clean up around here, you might notice some changes to the
site.
February 16, 2001
1. Cynical Saint has released his
conversion of the Rainbow Six map, Airport. He made both
day and night versions, and I did the single player side for
it. Included are Assault, Terrorist Hunt, and Lone Wolf
missions for each map, for a total of six missions. Get
it from the Pie's
Tactics Download Archives.
2. On the ARMM
side of things, work is almost complete on NATO 3.5, we think
you will be impressed with the changes. Almost every single
bitmap (including the original UO Weapons) has been redone,
several new weapons have been added, models have been tweaked
or redone, and the gameplay mechanics have been tweaked. Here
is a picture of the new splash screen, along with one showing
some of the new bitmaps and models (click on image to see a
larger version):
3. My Crosswinds e-mail account is
on the fritz again. If you have sent me an email and I
have not responded, please resend to my alternate e-mail
account, Serellan@yahoo.com.

1. The Rooster's Nest is
BACK! I would like to apologize for the lack of
updates, I was unable to update the site due to technical
problems. A lot of news has happened since the site
was last updated on Thanksgiving. Here it goes:
2. I have joined with ARMM
for the release NATO3.5. This upgrade of NATO3
will contain bug fixes, new weapon bitmaps for almost every
weapon, new weapons (primary, secondary, and kit items), new
models, and more! Look for it soon.
3. The plugins are out! Get
them at Pie's Tactics.
I plan on completing my first map, tentatively named
"Neighborhood", after the completion of Nato3.5.
4. Gamer's
Alliance conducted an interview with me, you can read it here.
5. Rogue
Spear Tactical Mod Reviews has written a review of Operation
Snow Wolf. Read it here.
6. Red Storm released the 2.52
patch for UO. Get it at Pie's
Tactics.
7. John Stonedecker
of RSE has released
the much anticipated Mint map for RS/UO. You can download
an easy install version at Pie's
Tactics. I have also ported the Rainbow Six mission
Operation Red Wolf over for use with this map. I haven't had a chance to upload this to my server yet, so you can
get it at Pie's Tactics
for now. Get the files here:

1. I hope you
and your families had a great holiday season, welcome to
the New Year!
2. Rogue
Spear Database has posted a review of one of my older
retextured maps, Desert
Mountain Base. Read what they have to say here.
You can download the map here.
3. We are still
awaiting the release of the plugins for 3DSM. Until I have
a chance to delve into map-making, I will not be releasing
any new RS/UO mods.
4. As you may
have noticed, www.serellan.com
now takes you to a menu page that allows you to choose this
site or SCA
Airsoft. I set up this other site as a team page for
my other hobby, airsoft. Check it out here.
November 24, 2000
1. Happy Thanksgiving!
2. Sorry about the lack of
updates, I have been cooling my heels until the
release of the RS plugins. Look for more mods
from The Rooster after they come out.
3. I have corrected the
Operation: Dark Revival installer for Rogue Spear
users. Previously, because of the placement of
the "characters" folder, RS users would
crash. The new version corrects this problem.
Download it now!
